Lady Talbot Drive a 24 kilometer scenic rainforest car journey which passes a number of walks and waterfalls in the Yarra Ranges National Park. Lady Talbot Drive is named after Lady Sarah Elizabeth, the wife of Sir Reginald Talbot, who was the Governor of Victoria from 25th April, 1904 to 6th July 1908. Cambarville is notable for its giant mountain ash (Eucalyptus regnans) trees within the Cumberland Memorial Scenic Reserve, and relics from former sawmills and gold mining. The Big Culvert is located nearby on the Marysville-Woods Point Road, which was historically part of the Yarra Track. Cambarville was established as a timber mill town in the 1940s. Timber mill owners A Cameron and FJ Barton named Cambarville. They established the mill to salvage timber from trees destroyed in the 1939 bushfires. A circular produced by the Marysville Tourist & Progress Association requesting assistance from members in raising funds to promote tourism in the district. This circular was sent to members in September 1965 to inform members as to which members had paid the requested funds, how much they had paid, and which members had outstanding payments still to be made. The circular was sent to encourage members to support the endeavour to raise funds to enable the town of Marysville to promote tourism in the district. A circular produced by the Marysville Tourist & Progress Association requesting assistance from members in raising funds to promote tourism in the district. The Association was formed in November 1907 to promote tourism within the area. A postcard in a series produced by the Rose Stereograph Company in Victoria, Australia as a souvenir of Marysville.A colour photograph of Steavenson Falls in Marysville, Victoria. The Steavenson Falls is named after the Victorian Assistant Commissioner of Roads and Bridges, John Steavenson, who arrived in Victoria in the early 1860s. At 84 metres high, Steavenson Falls is Victoria's tallest cascading waterfall. The falls are split into roughly five cascades, with the last of these plunging into a small, picturesque rock pool. The Marysville Story/ Marysville lies in the Great Dividing/ Range, a peaceful town where lush/ mountain forests provide a perfect setting/ for bush walks or just relaxing. The colours/ are beautiful - the little/ town seems to glow./ Walked to the Falls on Tuesday/ + saw 3 Lyrebirds - one male/ going through his repetiore of/ local birds./ Yesterday Rod drove me up to/ Lake Mountain where we did/ Look Walk taking in 3 lookouts/ with lovely views./ The cottage is very/ comfortable + well/ appointed.
