This medical / hospital instrument was used in the Tawonga District General Hospital which was built in the 1950's specifically for the increase in population due to the Kiewa Hydro Scheme.Historical: Shows the development of scientific hospital equipment. Provenance: Used in the Tawonga District General Hospital which was remote and therefore required good equipment. Good condition and good interpretation capacity.Cardboard box with a label on the lid. Inside is a rubber bulb pump attached to a clear glass 'receiver'. The glass is a cylinder opening to an almost flat wide circular disc. On one side of the cylinder is a sphere opening to the cylinder presumably where the milk is collected.
