Menopause medication.Cardboard box containing a glass ampoule of Premarin 20mg medication. Title text printed on front of box reads 'PREMARIN/INTRAVENOUS/BRAND OF/CONJUGATED ESTROGENS - /(equine)/May also be administered/INTRAMUSCULARLY'. Information on what is included in the box is printed on the lower section of the front of the box, but has been obscured by a warning sticker adhered to lower section of front of box. Text printed on the back on the box is identical to that printed on the front. Box carries the name of the manufacturer on both sides (Ayerst). Glass ampoule inside box is amber coloured and printed with the text 'FILE NOT REQUIRED/SNALE AT CONSTRICTED NECK/ Ayerst/5 CC./STERILE DILUENT/FOR USE WITH/"PREMARIN"/INTRAVENOUS/Contains 0.5% Phenol/AYERST LABORATORIES/INCORPORATED/NEW YORK, N.Y.'' Provera is used to treat endometriosis, the absence of menstrual periods (not due to pregnancy), abnormal bleeding from the uterus, certain types of cancer including cancer of the breast, kidney and endometrium, and in combination with an estrogen containing medicine to relieve symptoms of menopause in women with an intact uterus. Front of each box is printed with supply and use warnings, as well as the text '28 TABLETS/Provera Tablets/5 mg/Each tablet contains: MEDROXYPROGESTERONE ACETATE 5mg. Front of box is also labelled 'SAMPLE ONLY' and 'NEW/COLOUR/NEW FORMULATION/NEW SHAPE'. Manufacturer logo (Upjohn) at bottom right hand corner of the front of each box. Back of box is printed with dosage instructions, storage instructions, and tablet contents. Manufacturer logo (Upjohn) at bottom left on back of box. one end of box is imprinted with a batch number and an expiry date. Expiry date is 12/97. Tablet strips each contain 28 tablets, in four rows of seven. Front of tablet strip printed with the text 'Provera 5mh Tablets' at centre. Left hand side of tablet strip is printed with the text 'WEEK 1', 'WEEK 2', "WEEK 3', and 'WEEK 4', with each week label corresponding to a row of seven tablets. Abbreviations for the days of the week are printed on tablet strip next to each tablet. Right hand side of tablet strip is stamped with a batch number and an expiry date. Expiry date is 12/97. Tablet strip has silver foil on top surface, and blue foil on bottom surface. Used as a contraceptive. Can also be used for treating menopause or breast cancer.Strip of 28 tablets in a white cardboard box, with instructions. Front of box is decorated with a 2cm wide strip consisting of flower petals of various sizes, printed in aqua. Text printed on front of box in aqua reads 'Trioden ED/Free Physician's/Sample/28 tabs./oral/SCHERING'. Back of box is printed with ingredients, use instructions, warnings, and distributor information. One end of box is printed with the text 'Batch No/Expiry date' and embossed with the numbers '32003' and '0598'. This medication expired in May 1998. Strip of tablets inside box contains 17 white tablets, 6 yellow, and 5 brown. Tablet strip is printed with abbreviations for days of the week next to each tablet, and the text 'Start in the red section'. 7 tablets (5 white and 2 yellow) are displayed on a red foil background, while the remaining tablets are on a yellow foil background.
