The Board of Works has agreed to Mitcham's proposal that the whole Mitcham Junior School area eventually should become a shopping car park. Mitcham's long range plan is to get the Education Department to agree to move the school to another site. This proposal first originated through Mitcham Chamber of Commerce, has already been before the State Government and the Education Department.
