Lamp was used at the Mount Helen railway station on the Ballarat to Buninyong railway line in the early 1900s. The Mount Helen station was unmanned, with passengers flagging down the train by lighting the lamp.This lamp is one of the few remaining relics of activity on the Ballarat to Buninyong railway line.Metal fabricated lamp with cast iron feet and top decoration.
