Robert (Bob) Gray born Stawell in 1879 to Edmond and Susan Gray. Robert worked for 20 years at the George Kay Foundry Wimmera Street as a fitter and turner manufacturing and repairing steam engines and boilers. The foundry burnt down in 1924. George Kay gave Bob this reference. He them worked at the sandstone quarry out beyond Mt Dryden (Heatherlie) The stone of which was used to build the Elizabeth Street Commonwealth Bank in Melbourne.
