Items from Melbourne and regional Victoria, interstate - Adelaide and Sydney, plus overseas, make up this collection. Item is a white paper bag specifically for the Centenary of the Box Hill - Doncaster Electric Tramway. Dates and times for this celebration are printed on the bag. It operated from October 1889 until January 1898. .d) Small white paper bag with title stamped on it. Inside two small yellow tickets for Centenary Tramway Exhibition. A sticker for the Centenary also included. .e) Pamphlet giving a brief outline of the Box Hill-Doncaster Electric Tramway. Contains an article that appeared in "The Reporter" dated 17 October 1989 stating the importance of this enterprise - "Footprints in the sands of time......." .f) Yellow flyer advertising a book "The First Electric Road" by Melbourne architect and historian, Robert Green. This will be a limited edition and due for release in late November 1989. Order form on reverse of the flyer to be sent to John Mason Press.
