A black and white postcard of the Crossways Cabaret in Marysville in Victoria published by Murray Views. The Crossways was built in the early 1920s and is the oldest building in Marysville. The Crossways historic inn survived the 2009 Black Saturday bushfires thanks to the efforts of its c-owner Greg Cherry and, in the days after the fires, provided a much-needed refuge to the Marysville community and firefighters. Wal Jack in a note to Ken Magor of Newcastle notes the trams (No. 26 and a bogie), tram services, the ESCo fuse box, the tram waiting shelter, and that the location is known as "City Tram Centre". Mr Murray Jones was the owner of the land directly behind this house at 27 Good Governs Rd.He later purchased more of the surrounding land. In 2009 his land was sold by the executors of his estate for $3.5 million . Part of the land bordered Irvine St and at no 12 a development of 27 unit was erected.
