L - R - Unknown, Norah HOWARD ...In 2005, members of the PMH&PS undertook a study of the residents of the houses in a Port Melbourne street precinct from the 1880s to 1960. The area is bounded by Evans Street, the E side of Bridge Street, S side of Williamstown Road, Farrell Street both the E & W sides plus the section of Ross Street between Farrell and Bridge and the part of Derham Street between Farrell and Bridge. The resulting map and an interactive CD won the Best Community Research, Registers & Records project at the 2007 Victorian Community History Awards. The project was launched on the railway reserve near the corner of Evans & Farrell streets. A record of the type ...A lady showing a decoupage vase she had made next to a table of craft items. This was an Annual Art and Craft Exhibition that was run by the widows club. The items could be sold at trading tables and at the table outside Legacy House during Badge Week in September to raise funds. There were craft afternoons throughout the year for widows to learn new skills and gather together at Legacy House. Assumed to be 1990 as it was used to promote the 1991 fete in the Answer newsletter published 31st May 1991. The first meeting of the 1st Bendigo Guides was held by Miss Merle Bush on the 22nd of August 1922 in the St Paul' School Room.. Twelve girls were present. Miss Bush was given permission to open the Company by Miss R. Hamilton, State Secretary for Victoria, She received her Captain's Warrant on 12th December 1922.
