It is said to capture a broad array of important institutions including Moffats general store, Madigan's butcher (originally Couper's), the Emerald Recreation Reserve, the corner store and bakery, the Emerald Mechanics Institute, and part of the Nobelius nursery.This photograph is a particularly broad capture of Emerald's landscape and townscape around the 1920s, with extensive detail in its annotation and featuring several important insitutions of early Emerald.A black and white photograph of a rural street, with shrubland in the foreground and a building in the middle of the shot beside the street continuing towards the background. The near-background has several additional buildings, while the further distance shows hills with orchards planted. The photograph is backed by a piece of card backing.
