This microscope was used in the Ballarat Institute of Advanced Education Petrology Laboratory.Optical microscope, petrographic type, with a 4-lens objective turret. This microscope is thought to be one of the earliest 'mineral microscopes' obtained by the Ballarat School of Mines.
