These children are the Rice family. In 1925 Walter Rice built a general store in Marlo and in 1930 built the "Ozone Picture Theatre" also in Marlo.This item is associated with a popular activity of the Orbost community in the first half of the 20th century. Pumpkins have been been part of the district's agricultural history since settlement.
