The RAAF retained the Ballarat airfield as its Radio School until 1961. The then-Shire of Ballarat negotiated with the Department of Interior to become the civil operator of the airfield and sought the maintenance on site of the hangars and other structures, however a majority of the P Huts were sold by the Commonwealth. Inside a manilla envelope which has a cut out window. through the window on yellow cardboard you can see the RAAF insignia. Also a stamp near the insigna which reads R.A.A.F. Library from Bas Squadron Amberley. There are two metal staples down the left hand side of the envelope which is hold the manual together. There are three amendments which are inside the manual.
