Copied from a copy of an original photo loaned to me by Mrs. Jean Grimson. The photo shows patrons arriving at a race meeting being held at the racecourse fronting the Loddon Valley Highway opposite where Mrs. Grimson was living in 1985. The photo was thought to be taken around 1920? The Swan Hill train used to slow down for race patrons to jump off and enter the course from the "rear". The course was later transferred to land fronting the Myers Flat - Marong Road & Williams Road and with a railway siding on the Bendigo side of the railway crossing Myers flat (behind the Allies Hotel).
