John & William Ragg began manufacturing in 1833 in Sheffield, England. The family began by manufacturing razors, scissors and knives, adding tuning forks to their portfolio in 1841. In 1933 Ragg decided to focus solely on the production of tuning forks, becoming Ragg Tuning Forks Ltd.
