Reverend Dr. J. Davis McCaughey (12/07/1914 - 25/03/2005) was ordained in 1942 in Northern Ireland. He served at the YMCA, Fisherwick Belfast, United Kingdom, Professor of New Testament Studies at the Theological Hall, Master of Ormond College and retired in 1979. In 1986 he became Governor of Victoria, an office he held for six years.
