Prepared by crews from sheets to enable them to know what service times to run, meal times, details of crew changes etc, based on their allocated shift or run from the roster.Set of two Notebooks used to record rosters/ runs for crews for the March 1970 roster Ballarat on Saturdays. .1 - Pocket Notebook - green cover, faint ruled, up to 100 pages per book, cloth bound at the top, contained within a black plastic notebook holder/folder. A Calendar for 1970/1971 is positioned on the inside within a clear plastic sheet. Prepared by crews from sheets to enable them to know what service times to run, meal times, details of crew changes etc, based on their allocated shift or run from the roster.Twenty two (22) page notebook with white card board covers with a drawing of boy and birds on the front cover and the Eiffel tower on the rear, spiral bound by a red covered wire. The front cover drawing has been overprinted in colour. Headed on the top of the cover is "SATURDAYS ROSTERS" in black ink. Each sheet faint ruled, both sides, with some additional pages fixed in. Has the hand written details of each SEC Ballarat runs, Saturdays runs, - giving sign on times, notes, timetables, which run taken or taken by, meal times, notes with regard to special instructions, finish times notes with corrections and changes. Includes Motormen and Conductors Runs. Image 1 shows covers and image 2, one of the sheets with the runs printed on both side of the page. ... "Traffic Inspectors Duty Rosters" ...Demonstrates aspects of the Ballarat Tramways management system of Traffic Inspector rosters and that they worked a 38 week. Gives two different arrangements.Typed sheet, carbon copy, giving two forms of rosters for Traffic Inspectors. Titled "Traffic Inspectors Duty Rosters" and dated 30/9/1953 has rosters for (A) - four traffic inspectors - twelve week rotation and (B) for three inspectors - three weeks rotation. Shows the hours of work (all 38 hour week), starting and finishing times, for each day of the week. Did it change with the number of inspectors available? That is with one of the four being on leave. Shows the full or basic 20 min service during the day and 30 mins at night. Show how the various run or crew tables were arranged to provide the service overall. Gives two different arrangements.Typed sheet, two carbon copies, giving two forms of rosters for Traffic Inspectors. Titled "Traffic Inspectors' Rotating Duty Rosters" and dated 29-8-1966, has rosters for four traffic inspectors - four week rotation and for three inspectors - three weeks rotation. Shows the hours of work (all 38 hour week), starting and finishing times, for each day of the week. Note under heading says "As from 17 May 1954". Did it change with the number of inspectors available? That is with one of the four being on leave. See also Reg. Item 3421 for the 1954 arrangements. ... Ballarat tram rosters... Rosters ...Has a strong association with tram crews and the rosters crew workings, possibly D.J. Everett. Prepared by crews from sheets to enable them to know what service times to run, meal times, details of crew changes etc, based on their allocated shift or run from the roster.Thirty eight (38) page red metal spiral binding, notebook with card board covers. Each sheet faint ruled, both sides. Front cover had a drawing of a Scots lassie with a Scots terrier on a lead and a drawing of a street scene in the background with the words "Scotland" in script. Rear cover has a drawing of a castle on it. Each sheet, most left hand side only has the hand written details of each SEC Ballarat run - giving sign on times, notes, timetables, which run taken or taken by, meal times, notes with regard to special instructions, finish times and total hours worked. Image 1 shows covers and image 2, one of the sheets with the runs printed on both side of the page. On a scrap of paper, written on the back of a Ballarat Summary timesheet for a Thursday in 1968 is the run details for 22 run. Has been folded into 4. Type to give the Motorman / Conductors rosters tables 1 to 43 (22 to 43 missing) and "B" Conductors 44C to 64C - all present. Shows those on Annual and Sick leave. Has been ruled to divide the sheet. This yearly effort was conducted from 12.11.1998 - 12.12.1998. At the bottom of each page are details re pick up and delivery of tickets and stocking. The raffle was conducted from 3 different selling points. The names on the roster are a who's who of the RSL at the time, except for two names all the sellers were WW2 era members being a list of President current, ex Presidents, Life members, Committee and notables. The hand written notes were by Jack Barnes OAM.
