Hand-written letter to the President/Secretary, Long Gully Historical Group, dated 7/10/2000 enquiring about the Wilson family from the late 19th Century. He was interested about his paternal Grandmother, Lillian Rubina Wilson and her brother James Maitland Wilson who was killed in France in 1917. Their parents were Elizabeth Wilson nee Jolly and James Wilson. He asks for any knowledge, photos or anecdotes. Four Mordialloc-Chelsea High School students outside the school Tuck Shop on the corner of Attenborough Road and Station Street Aspendale. The shop was located across from the school and run by Mr Gustav Fahnert and his family. Mrs Rubina Fahnert nee Brown was the daughter of Thomas Brown who was a son of Hugh Brown, the pioneer market gardener of the Aspendale/Mordialloc area. The Brown's house still remains on the second block from the corner of Station Street and Attenborough Road (as of February 2018).
