This trophy was presented to a new cadet for the 'pursuit of excellence' of Rupertswood Battery of Horse Artillery and donated by Martin Glass and Gary Bieser. This biscuit barrel of silverplate and wood was won by a member of the Victorian Horse Artillery, Driver J. Mc Keon, along with Sergeant Harry Looney, Driver J. Ryan and Driver J. This item produced to commemorate the centenary of the Rupertswood Battery from 30 December 1884 to 30 December 1984.A square bucket-shaped liqueur glass with a stem that tapers to a round base. Made of clear glass with a gold transfer of "Battery of Horse Artillery" on the front and another transfer on the back commemorating a centenary of the Rupertswood Battery. The series of 15 photographs were taken to bless the laying of the keel of the schooner 'Enterprize' on the 29th August, 1991. George Evans, who settled at Emu Bottom in Sunbury, travelled from Tasmania to Melbourne in the 'Enterprize' in 1834. The event took place at South Wharf in Melbourne. The crowd are gathered around the former Rupertswood gun which originally was a piece of field equipment used by the Rupertswood Battery. The Clarke family eventually gave it the the residents of Sunbury. The original photo is part of an album taken by W Walls, the front page of which is inscribed " The Hill /Sunbury/April 1897". Whilest most of the photos relate to the environs of the asylum, there are othrs taken around Sunbury and ? elsewhere. The original album is held as part of the Mental Health library Collection. During 2000 this was transferred from Mont Park to the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Presumably Rupertswood Battery gun and gunners.Five men in uniform standing by a field gun.
