The private house "Skelmorie" was on the corner of Dandenony and Kooyong Roads. in 1883 Malvern Union Church passed into the hands of the Congregational Union and Mission of Victoria and opened as a Congregational Church. Wooden communion box with a hinged lid and partioned interior lined with green wool. There is a small silver plaque inside.
