These Volumes cover the period 1998 - early 2020 when Covid struck and the Museum closed. After re opening in 2021 in a reduced capacity the Newsletter was never continued. As the Bendigo RSL Museum has had 3 name changes it will be referred as just the "Museum".
Vol 1, 97 pages. Starts out in Feb 1999 with a report on Bendigo RSL in 1998 with sections by the President Alan, Secretary Jack, Treasure Norm and Museum Curator Peter. One more RSL newsletter followed before a series of newsletters combining the President and Curator on just Museum items in late 1999. The President put the Guide Roster together and Peter Stories from the Museum, the Roster was 8 weeks ahead. These went on until March 2003. In 2002 a new Sub Committee system was set up across the Bendigo RSL and the Museum had its first meeting at the beginning of 2003. The Curator was elected as the Chairman of the Subcommittee. Alan retired from the Sub Committee to concentrate on other things. Curator/Chairman took on the Roster & newsletters. A new format called "Museum Happenings" then went out with the Roster. The sub committee held a competition amongst the guides for a more permanent name for a newsletter, "Museum Muster" won the title. Issue 1 went out with the 8th Sept - 31st Oct 2003 Roster. Items included, what's happening, reports, income, expenditure, new additions to the collection, new guides on the roster to name some. Volume 1 finishes with Issue no 37 in early 2009.
Vol 2. This starts with issue No 38 in 2009. The first use of B & W photos, images begins in No 58 and colour begins in No 63 in 2013 and continues all the way through. The last issue and roster by the Curator/Chairman was No 78 as he stood down from his positions. On Feb 3rd the Curator/Chairman had gained a paid Office Assistant. Cassandra was able to put together the roster/newsletter. A new Interim Chairman Kym was appointed who assisted Cass in the overall input to the Muster. The last Muster in this Volume was No 84 which welcomed a new Curator Kirsten in 2016. This was the last to go out for period as the Museum shut in Sept 2016 for the revitalization/Restoration of the SMI/Museum.
Vol 3. The first was a "Relaunch" edition on Nov 15th 2018 with the opening of the new renovations and Museum. Cassandra was now in work at the RSL and Angela who came on board during the Cataloguing phase at Havilah Road. Angela put the roster/newsletter together with Curator Kirsten, Peter still putting in stories from the RSL/SMI and collection. 14 editions went out with the last being Feb 2020. The Museum closed in March 2020.
Vol 4. Stories from the SMI and Museum. As stated from the ist edition after re opening in January 2019 to the last to go out in February 2020.
