Original illegal newspaper produced fortnightly by internees at Camp 1, Tatura, as a newspaper or periodical of camp events. Contributions were from internees. Title translates as "Stinging Nettle" with "Barbed Wire" typed in German below.Black folder containing plastic sleeves containing copies of a newspaper, typed in German and copied for distribution. Names of newspaper, volume number, date of issue on front (Brennessel meaning stinging nettles) with other German words under that. Each cover has different sketches. Some of the newspapers have been coloured. Inside have different stories including sport scores and articles. Back cover has advertisements. Also in some of the sleeve is a A4 copy of the newspaper and a copy of a translation of the newspaper. 12 pages. Catalogue of available newsletters in front of folder.
