The people depicted in this photograph are Joy and Syd Gaye. Sid Gaye was a Sherbrooke Councillor.A black and white rectangular photograph printed on matte paper. This picture depicts a male and a female standing one either side of an open door. The white building is of weatherboard construction, and looks to be a church. The doorway is arched in shape as are the open doors. The two people are each holding two books at waist height. The female is dressed in a skirt, jacket and top and the male is in trousers, jacket and tie. The interior of the building is dark, but a small rectangular, upright window can be seen. Possibly leadlight. Outside the door, there is a doormat, and the people are standing on large flagstones. To the right of the picture, a small section of a water tank can be seen. syd gaye, sherbrooke councillor, 1990s
