In 1947 a group of Rhyll women, including Mrs L. McPhee, Mrs F. Jansson, Mrs Richardson and Mrs E.G.Howie formed a committee to raise funds to send parcels to Britain to support people suffering shortages post WW2. They gathered donations and held fund raising events eg bazaars.
