The Y's Menettes were originally an offshoot of the Y's Men's Clubs. They are linked to the YMCA and aim to promote Christian principles, Youth activities, international good will, community needs, personal development, enjoyment of life and information sharing within the network. Monthly meetings were held in members' homes and later on in YMCA meeting rooms. The tablecloths were used when new members were inducted and their names were added to the cloth.
