Tina Wentscher was born in Istanbul to Jewish Parents and grew up in Berlin. Lived in Indonesia 1931 - 1932 - 1933, China 1932 - 1933, Thailand 1935 - 1936, Singapore 1936 - 1937, Malaysia 1936 - 1940. Interned as an enemy alien in Tatura 1940 - 1942. The large twelve murals are caricatures mostly depicting Army personnel from various parts of the world. Painting high on the walls of the garrisons recreation hut by Von Gruenwaldt. The hut was later transported to Murchison and became the RSL Hall. M/s Diane McLeod, Shepparton Art Gallery insisted they be preserved as the RSL was to be demolished and Loel Thompson was unable to preserve the building as a museum.
