In 1992, Coles/Myer made a donation to the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria's Project Arthritis Action Appeal. The funds were raised at the Coles Myer Sponsors Race Day. This photo depicts Mr Richard Thomas, Director of Corporate Affairs at Coles/Myer, handing the donation cheque to Dr Leslie Koadlow. Standing behind Dr Koadlow is Bruce Dyson (partially obscured), while others are seated around the room. A cropped version of this photo appears on page 16 (the back cover) of the Vol 5 No 1, Autumn 1992 issue of the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria's quarterly magazine, Arthritis Update. It is captioned: "Mr Richard Thomas, Director of Corporate Affairs, Coles/Myer presents President, Dr Les Koadlow with a cheque for Project Arthritis Appeal." The photo also appears on page 4 of the 1992 Annual Report with the caption: "President, Dr Les Koadlow gratefully accepts a cheque from Mr Richard Thomas, Director of Corporate Affairs at Coles Myer which sponsored the Arthritis Foundation's Race Day." A cropped version of the photo also appears (with other photos) on the front cover of the Vol 19 Issue 2, Winter 2006 edition of Update.
