Framed colour photograph of BTM Conductor David Frost issuing a ticket to David Vendy, Mayor of the City of Ballarat in tram 13 while at the depot. Thought to be the same date as photo used in btm6401, 1 August 2002 by the Ballarat Courier. Contained within a wooden frame made by "The Frame Spot of 1376 Malvern Road, Malvern" with card backing and a white cloth hanging strip. The Spot Cafe was in Elizabeth Street, Melbourne and owned by Athanasios Raftopoulos, Michalis Mavrokefalos and Anastasios Flocas. It was one of the many cafes owned and run by Ithacans in Melbourne's CBD in the 1930s and 1940s. Arthur Raftopoulos and Hector Andrews are standing 2nd and 3rd left in the photograph. Many Ithacans established businesses throughout the CBD and inner suburbs. The fishing spot known as The Lodge was accessed, for many years, via private property. This article is about an on site meeting, who attended and what was said in regards to the upgrading of a road for access to the river. Includes a letter to the Editor from Ronald Irvine stating their position. Enquiries made on March 11th 2021 with Ronald Irvine revealed that the road had deteriorated and vehicles were becoming bogged, requiring the farmer to pull them out with a tractor.
