Tram 21 has an AETA tour board on the front of the tram and it is showing Special. Most likely the AETA Easter 1958 tour - see Reg. Tram has a roof advert for Bendigo Timber Co. Masonite and a Cohn's Drink ad on the front of the tram. In the background are roof advert for Mobilgas on the Beehive Building, Ezywalkin building, A. G. Treloar Optician and Evlyn Amer? shop for Infants Girls and Ladies Wear. There is a large number of Holden motor cars in the photos along with bicycles parked by the Ezywalkin shop. Photo shows SEC Bendigo No. 21, after its conversion during the 1930's to a one-man tram with metal folding gates, weather blinds and a cream rocker panel. Tram has the destination of Lake Weeroona. Note the driver's footstep. Flag that could be mounted on wooden dowel for use on Melbourne tramcars. Flag made from nylon or a similar synthetic, sewn into a white nylon circular section with a folded cap and then slipped over the dowel and stapled into position with words "Anzac Appeal". Black and white photograph of an illustration of the Fairfield Horse Tram. The illustration is from The Australasian Sketcher with Pen and Pencil (Melbourne, Vic. : 1873 - 1889), No 188 Vol XIIL, 14/1/1885. The magazine was owned by the Argus. The drawing is from a series of sketches at one of the Saturday land sales. The tramcar is numbered 1 and has signage Fairfield Park and Fairfield Tramway. The tramway was operated by Charles Henry James in an attempt to sell land developed by him north of the Fairfield railway station. The tramway operated from 20/12/1884 until its closure in 1890.
