Yields information about a PMTT tramcar that was sold to Ballarat and an operating member of the BTM fleet.Digital Image of Prahran and Malvern Tramway Trust, Maximum Traction tramcar No. 63 in Glenferrie Road, with destination of Esplanade and Route No. 4 in the window of the tram. Tram later became Ballarat No. 18. In the background are shops, centre poles and blinds on the shops, indicating a summer's day perhaps. Detail from a Rose Series postcard. Possibly late 1910's. The trailer is lettered for the "Spencer & Brunswick St Fitzroy" route with its rocker panel highly decorated. In the background are a building for the Agency Company Limited and an advert on a hoarding for The Age newspaper. The grip man and conductor are standing on their respective platforms. Version prior to the introduction of Pensioner fares.3045.1 - Printed form titled "Trip Way-Bill" of the SEC, Electricity Supply Department, Provincial Tramways, on thin off white paper. Gives value of tickets up to 7d, City 2d, Pensioners 2d and 3d and parcel stamps of 4d. Has space for the Run No, Conductor, Day, Date , route time and tram no. Able to be used on both sides of the sheet. Has sheet or print number of TYE 1-250 3045.2 - Photocopy of the same form with fares up to value of 1/-c, three city tickets, no pensioners and parcels of 6d. Original form to Bendigo Tramways. Under sheet number of TYE 1-250, has date of (R6/63). 3045.3 - similar to 3045.1 - but different TYE number and differences in font etc. While fare denominations to max value of 7d, has does not have City and Pensioner fares - used prior to the introduction of these fares - 1/11/1955 to 1/7/1958. Also gives charges for Scholar's Monthly tickets, Luggage, Parcels, Newspapers and Chartered trams. Originally dated November 1955, amended January 1962. All fares in shillings and pence. These notes are based on a report prepared for the Board re the donation of materials collected by Wal Jack and donated to the BTM in 2011. The following notes are general across the collection unless written for a specific Ballarat item. Has proven association with Wal Jack and tramway developments within Australasia until 1964 and given their extent particular significance. Features South Australian trams. Brown leather covers, over heavy board, tied together with a black shoe lace, light grey paper inside covers holding some 63 sheets of card on which photos have been mounted using photo corners of various types, captions in blue or black ink. Has some 392 black and white photographs including some postcards. Has photos of various locations and lines within Adelaide, includes works trams, buses, trolley buses, arranged by tramcar class in some places. Includes horse trams at Goolwa and Victor Harbor, Port Adelaide steam tram. Album Scanned Dec. 2019 prior to forward 7 packets of negatives to the collection of the AETM via John Radcliffe.
