An original set of uniform.HighA bottle green, wool twill, jacket and pants worn as SECV Uniform. The jacket is single-breasted with collar and lapels. The front is buttoned with four State Electricity Commission of Victoria metal pressed buttons with lettering and shield insignia. These are matched by two smaller, identical buttons at the shoulder holding the epaulettes in place. There is a LH breast pocket, and hip pockets on both LH and RH front panels. The hip pockets are backed and edged with black leather stripping for reinforcement. The sleeve cuffs are also reinforced with a band of black leather. The internal pocket on the RH side front has a makers label. The jacket is fully lined with a black cotton lining. The trousers have pockets at the sides, and a fob pocket and back pocket. The trousers have a zippered fly and waistband which is fastened with a hidden button. Belt loops finish the waistband. The makers label inside the inner pocket reads"Blazer and Uniform Specialists - David Lack Pty. Ltd Melbourne. The recipient is D. Demonstrates a button made for the HTT Set of four Coat buttons for the Hawthorn Tramways Trust - HTT - made by Stokes and Sons Melbourne. The badge backing piece is brass. It is fitted with a lug for sewing onto a jacket and has the name of the manufacturer stamped on the rear part.
