Lai Khe Base Camp was a significant United States Army base in South Vietnam during the Vietnam War, serving as the headquarters for the 1st Infantry Division from 1965 to 1972. Located along Highway QL13, also known as Thunder Road, it also hosted other U.S. Army units and the South Vietnamese Army's 5th Division.
