Photograph of Joseph and Alice Newton with their daughter Alice Jessie. Captain Joseph Charles Newton (1846-1903) married Alice Marie (surname unknown) c.1885. Joseph ran the Epping Hotel, Victoria, Australia from 1891 until his death in 1903. Alice then took over the running of the hotel until her death in 1907.
