The Newspaper articles were about the discovery of several Japanese reproductions of two WA Topographical maps "Collie" and "Bunbury" that were originally produced by Land Headquarters Cartographic Company in 1942, a fore runner to the Royal Australian Survey Corps. The research was conducted by WA government Cartographer and former Reserve Army Officer Mr Brian Dawson.
