Newspaper Clipping split into several parts, with handwritten date. Summary: Ringwood State School History Project (10 July 1968) In July 1968, Headmaster J. A. Baines of Ringwood State School No. 2997 appealed to former pupils, teachers and local residents for photographs, stories and historical material to assist with writing a history of the school. The project was being prepared for publication by 1970 as part of Victoria's State Education centenary celebrations. Baines explained that he had become aware of the high regard in which former teacher Miss Daisy Paddock was held by the many pupils she taught during her years at the school. Miss Paddock agreed to assist in collecting information and reminiscences for the school's history. The article followed publicity about annual reunions of former Ringwood State School pupils from the 1920s and encouraged ex-students to contribute memories, photographs and documents. Original photographs would be copied and returned to their owners. The article also noted that Ringwood State School possessed early records from State School No. 2242, Nunawading North, and discussed the connection between the old Nunawading North school and the Ringwood district.
