Thomas James Streahorn was a grocer in Richmond, Melbourne in the early 1900s. In March 1905 he purchased the Wooroonook Hotel from Mr Albert Edgar Shaw. The Hotel licence was subsequently transferred from Mr Shaw to Thomas in April 1905. Thomas and his wife Margaret ran the Hotel until his death in April 1923.
