M P A call meeting for 24th March Two or three progressive residence of Melton township are still pushing quietly for a water scheme for Melton and extension of electricity service expected to be provided for the beam wireless station a Rockbank. One of these has gone so far as to seek opinion of an independent engineer regarding the possibility of township water supply. May 1 1937 A move to combine in Melton Shire Council to convene a public meeting to agitiate for extension of the Electric Supply to Melton is being undertaken by the Progress Association and the Hall Committee. Melton Progress Association and Melton Mechanics Institute Committee joined in a decision to request Melton Shire Council to call a Public Meeting to push for extension of Yallourn electricity to Rockbank and Melton June 12th July 3rd Residents of Melton and Rockbank have an opportunity to reveal attitude towards proposed extension a result of MSC in convincing a public meeting MMI support from Amalgamated Wireless A/Asia Ltd directors Mr Townsing to preside which had been convened by MPAssoc and MMI nicely timed as SEC estimates for ensuing year known to be in course of preperation. Built for the Wolfe brothers in 1860, they were originally occupied by a chemist and the tailors Robathan and Stevens. Each ticket medium weight card, on pink card and printed on black ink to give day numbers, monthly, week number, transfers and day of the week, excluding Sunday. Numbered on the right end of the ticket. Static number (1 - 7) on the left may be to indicate the day of the issue. On the rear of the ticket are the details of the ticket use, allowing passengers one return journey between City and section 3 or 4. Not available on Sundays. Form Number TYE 3-13 Note: 1. See Reg. Item 230 on page dated Feb. 22 for another two weekly tickets, c1950, price 2/6 - similar to these, but used. Page 38 of Ballarat Tramways has a photo of the 2/6 weekly ticket, with a note, used about 1950's. See also Reg. item 2102, 2103, 2104 and 2105. 3269.1 - BTPS membership card for year ending 30 May 1976. Printed in green ink on off white card, featuring the name of the organisation with the word "limited" hand stamped on, membership number, signature space and a side on image of No. 14. Date hand stamped on in green ink and membership number stamped in black ink. Card made out to Mrs. C. Dean, No. 192 in handwriting and signed by Carolyn Dean. 3269.2 - ditto, but with membership No. 42 - the correct ones! 3269.3 - ditto for the year ended 30th June 1977. "Limited" in black ink and other details typed on. 3269.4 - ditto for period to 14-7-1976 for Warren Doubleday, given number 005, which was later revised - card added 4-1-2014. 3269.5 - as for .4, but with revised Membership Number.
