Slide - Section of the mural in the Drawing Room of South Esk (formerly 'Ordsall'), 1980
One of a group of slides taken by members of the Society of built heritage in Kew. The selection of subject matter reflects the priorities of the period. The colour of some slides has degraded. The slides represent a snapshot in time of built architecture in Kew, much of which has changed in the forty-plus period since they were created. 35mm colour transparency (slide) taken from a photograph of a section of the drawing room ceiling of South Esk (Ordsall) [demolished 1970]. Melbourne Legacy
Audio - Recording, tape, Rt. Hon. John. G. Gorton C.H., M.P
The tape has not been played but from the label it is presumed to be a recording of John Gorton to launch Legacy week. For many years the main time of year for fundraising is September when Legacy holds 'Legacy Week'. Often there is a celebrity who would launch the appeal so presumably John Gorton recorded a message. John Gorton flew for the RAAF in World War 11, and was Prime Minister of Australia.A record that celebrities were part of the Legacy Appeals in the 1970s.Black magnetic tape on a clear plastic spool in a red cardboard box.Box, RCA, Magnetic Tape, For your recorder, Extra strength, Professional standard, Splice free, 600Ft. 1.5 mil polyester 5" reel, type 15M-6, 1.5 mil polyester, RCA type 1.5m-6. City of Greater Bendigo - Civic Collection
Ceremonial object - Common Seal, Shire of Marong, unknown
A seal is the corporate signature of an organisation. It is usually referred to as a ‘common seal’, meaning it represents a whole company ‘in common’, rather than any individual committee member, director or agent. A common seal can be used to signify the company or association’s authority or approval of a certain action, such as signing a legal document, or authenticating an award or certificate. It might also be used as the emblem or symbol of an organisation. This seal was for the former Shire of Marong now part of the City of Greater Bendigo.Circular, brass seal with wooden handle. Remnants of red wax remain in seal.Shire of Marongshire of marong, city of greater bendigo administration item -

Newsletter, Ruyton Reports, 1988
The Ruyton Reporter (formerly known as Ruyton Reports) captures the essential Ruyton Girls' School experience for the broader school community. It has been produced since 1986.The record has strong historic significance as it pertains to one of the oldest girls' school in Victoria, Australia. Ruyton was founded in 1878 in the Bulleen Road, Kew, home of newly widowed Mrs Charlotte Anderson (now High Street South). Thus, the record can be used as a reference example for research into Victorian school history. It also gives insight into the types of activities and events undertaken at Ruyton Girls' School during the period of its production. The record's significance is further enhanced by its exceptionally well-documented provenance, having remained the property of Ruyton Girls' School since its production.Black and white newsletter printed on paper with staple binding. 8 pages.Front Page: Vol. 3 No. 2 November, 1988 / R / RECTE ET FIDE LITER / RUYTON / 1878 - 1988 Reports / From Ruyton Girls' School / 12 Selbourne Road, Kew. 3101 / Telephone (03) 819 2422 / SCHOOL PAGEANT / Over 500 girls were involved in the School Pageant which was written and produced to honour 110 years of Ruyton's history.
