Yields information about the style and printing of tickets used in Ballarat and Bendigo tramways and how they were presented.Block with three remaining tickets - teal ink on off white paper, denomination 6c 7d, numbered A266397 - 99, headed State Electricity Commission of Victoria, Provincial Tramways. Originally a block of 200 tickets been stapled onto a heavy cardboard back with a heavy metal staple and a off white coloured cardboard retaining strip at the top of the ticket. The ticket price is in teal ink while the ticket number itself is in black ink. On rear in teal ink is a diagonal criss cross or tartan pattern. The newsletter was published to address the Mercantile Marine primarily officers in the service. This is the number 19. The term "Merchant Navy" was coined in 1919 by King George V. So this foyer predates 1919.An unusual example of newsletter circulated by the Missions to Seamen (UK) during WW1. A photograph/negative envelope that was produced by Kodak and is from The Log Cabin in Marysville in Victoria.A photograph/negative envelope that was produced by Kodak and is from The Log Cabin in Marysville in Victoria. The Log Cabin provided a service for printing and developing photographs and negatives. The Log Cabin was built by Thomas Henry Branchflower who had arrived from England late in 1921. It was built for Gwendoline Pitman after the death of her father Clarence Pitman and the disappearance of her sister Olive in July 1926. Tickets have not been individually numbered with the Registration Number, but can be identified by their ticket number and denomination. Carrie Moore (31 July 1882 – 5 September 1956) was an Australian actress who achieved fame on the Australian and British stage. She was born Caroline Ellen Moore in Geelong, Victoria, on 31 July 1882. Moore performed for J.C. Williamson's "Royal Comic Opera Company" in a number of leading roles and in 1903 left for England, spending five years on the London stage, returning in 1908. She performed at the Royal Princess Theatre in Bendigo on Wednesday 3rd and Thursday 4th September 1913. Assisted by Mr Reginald Kenneth she presented several long songs and duets. Used SEC 2/6 weekly ticket, ticket numbers B 209600. Originally printed and stapled into blocks of 20 tickets. The ticket is printed on a manila 210gsm card and printed using red ink to give day numbers, monthly, week number, transfers, and day of the week, excluding Sunday. Numbered on the right end of the ticket. Static number (1 - 7) on left indicates maybe the day of the issue. The ticket has been nipped in the day spaces 8 times and has been nipped for the month of April and week 1. On the rear of the ticket is the details of the ticket use, allowing the passenger one return journey between City and section 3 or 4. Not available on Sundays. The ticket was located on a tram behind a sandbox during maintenance works.
