Has four SECV Advertisements within the book for hot water, ovens - cookers, toasters and electric fan heaters. Three copies held. Tickets printed and issued by the Victorian Railways for the Sandringham to Beaumaris motor coach (bus) service, following the closure of the tramway to Black Rock in 1956. All tickets numbered for accounting purposes.Yields information about the VR Ticketting System for its Tramways and motor coach services.Set of 7 Victorian Railways Sandringham to Beumaris Motor Coach ticket blocks. Printed on white sheets, stapled at the top with a large staple onto a cardboard backing strip. Each value in green ink with black print information. Each block has the ticket number printed on the stub of the ticket that remained with the block when torn off. Introduction to tape is "Bob Bishop and Bill Mercer (both deceased) captured approx. 53 mins of tram action on 8mm in 1955 and 1956. The two VR systems and the Geelong tramway" Next slide: "In 1992 the film material was transferred to video by H. Blum and can now be seen on video." Synopsis of video: 1. - Starts with Sandringham - Black Rock destination roll, trams, in a mix of colour and black and white. Mainly street scenes, but some interior shots and from windows. The original Victoria Theatre opened on 16 February 1856 with a season by Lola Montez. She performed several farces and her famous spider dance, delighted the diggers and enraged the sensibilities of respectable people, with Henry Seekamp in the famous "whipping" incident with Montez in Ballarat. The program consisted of popular melodramas, farces and hits such as Rob Roy, The Lady of Lyons and the Count of Monte Cristo. The nautical drama Black-Eyed Susan was also very popular.
