This pass was issued to Dr Margaret Alison Mackie during her time as Medical Superintendent of the Royal Women's Hospital during the Second World War. Dr Margaret Alison Mackie (1910-1991) was in active practice between 1936 and 1970. She was a Fellow of the College, and was appointed a Commander of the Order of St Michael and St George (CMG) for services to medicine in 1975. Small cardboard identification pass. Cover of the pass is green. Front of pass is printed with the text 'GOVERNMENT/OF/VICTORIA'. Inside of pass has identification details for Dr Margaret Mackie, along with a passport photo of Dr Mackie. and attests to her employment at the Women's Hospital. Pamphlet 6 fold A3 to DL, titled "Tram Service Changes - Routes 58 - William St" affecting routes 11, 12, 48, 58, 86 96 and 109 - detailing the changes for the reconstruction of William St between Flinders Lane and Dudley St. Work reduced the track centres (once laid out for centre poles) and the provision of a set of scissors cross overs and super stops at Bourke and La Trobe St (Flagstaff Station). WWII Fuel Ration 2 Gallon Tickets: 9 Tickets of cream card with brown and blue print rectangular in shape with perforated edges. The back ground is a wall paper of small oval shapes with "Motor Spirit" printed in brown ink. Over top is "Commonwealth Liquid Fuel Control Board". In the centre, "Motor Spirit two 2 Gals not transferable Ration Ticket. Department of supply & Development. Issued Under National Security Act. 1939-40". Over top again in blue ink is covered in small lines and the words "Consumer must endorse this ticket on the back with signature and Licence number". On the back hand written in black ink is "G. Scholar's monthly ticket for use by under 15 years students. Has form number "TYE 3-570" in top left hand corner. Space for an expiry date to be stamped on the ticket and name, address and school of the student. The 1966 Schedule of Fares and Charges shows these tickets. See Reg Item 6870 for samples of unused tickets. All issued to the donor Lee Carrigg. Also issued in Bendigo. Yields information and demonstrates the tickets used to for Scholar's or students to travel on the trams in Ballarat during the mid 1960's. Tickets used by the Victorian Railways from the time of introduction of decimal currency (1966). At the time, 3c was the lowest fare in use. 1 and 2c were printed, but not issued. A 2c ticket was printed but a copy has not survived. Understood to be used until the introduction of time based tickets in the early 80s. The memorial service held at the Bentleigh Recreation Reserve on Sunday, December 8, 1918. It was largely attended. The president of the Sire, Cr. D. Two blocks of tickets each - red ink on off white 60 gsm paper, denomination 2d (printed in blue), headed State Electricity Commission of Victoria, Provincial Tramways. Originally a block of 50 tickets been stapled onto a heavy cardboard back with a heavy metal staple and a small cardboard retaining strip at the top of the ticket. The ticket number is in black ink while the "E" prefix is in red, the ticket number is in black.
