Press Cuttings Agency source sheet pasted to the top left hand corner along with the paper name and date stamp. .1 - Leader Northcote - 22/7/1981 - " Campaign for Bourke St trams", written by Ian Munro, regarding a proposal by the City Commissioners to remove trams from Bourke St and run via Lonsdale St. .2 - Melbourne Herald - 18/8/1981 - "Those Trams", editorial regarding the possibility of removing trams from Bourke St. .3 - as for .2, but a short piece - just the last paragraph of .2 .4 - Melbourne Herald - 10/9/1981 - editorial titled "One way ahead" about the possibility of a converting some city streets to one way, a ring road and traffic flows. Yields information about the operation of Ballarat tram No. 36 in Melbourne to promote Ballarat after the closure of the SEC system.1060 - Newspaper clipping from The Courier, Ballarat, 15/9/1971 of the loading of tram 36 for running in Melbourne the previous day. Two photos (btm1060i1) shows Stan Lakey and Harry Van Oorschot jacking up the front of the tram and second photo (btm1060i2) shows Doug Wiseman and Bob Prentice on the main body jacks. Caption notes the transport of the tram to Melbourne for a week, advertising the Begonia Festival, Sovereign Hill and the Royal South St. competitions. Item from the Ballarat Courier of 16/11/1996 written by Lorrie Brown quoting Peter Hiscock, chairman of the Ballarat Tourism Board that the funding for the feasibility study into the plan to re-introduce trams back to Ballarat, was still awaiting funding support from the State Government. Looks at the route outlines and the trams in Christchurch. Peter expressed surprise that the Ballarat Council had not lent its financial support. Includes a photo of Peter in a reflective mood. This crochet chart was designed by the twentieth century crochet pattern designer, Mary Card, for the Victorian Centenary in 1934. It was published in the Australian Home Beautiful magazine on November 1934. The chart was published in four sections, with instructions for working it as a complete piece. Mary Card lived in Olinda and published books of her patterns and individual patterns in Australia, American and English magazines from 1909 until the 1930s.Giant paper crochet chart of Mary Cards Victorian Centenary cloth design, featuring Australian animals, ships, buildings and horseman. Chart has FLORENCE / MCNABB 1944 written in pen ar thje bottom. Over the orignial pattern which was printed with VICTORIAN / CENTENARY 1934. Chart is in 4 pieces, each attached to Cardboard.
