Yellow cloth backed paper ticket with white front, printed in black ink with fare value of $2.50. Blank or Unused Scholar's monthly ticket for use by under 15 years students, number No. 7386. Has form number "TYE 3-570" in top left hand corner. Space for an expiry date to be stamped on the ticket and name, address and school of the student. The 1969 Schedule of Fares and Charges shows these tickets. 1728.1 - ditto, ticket No. A7423. Added 16/10/04 - after being on display in cabinet in 39 since 1992. 1728.2 - ditto, ticket No. A7382. Robin Boyd was appointed Exhibits Architect for the Australian Pavilion at Expo ‘70 in Osaka and travelled to Osaka several times in 1969-1970. Boyd designed the innovative Space Tube, which had over 25 exhibition boxes, projecting from it. Amongst the topics covered were Australian scientific innovation (including brain research, immunology, Antarctic research, Snowy Mountains Hydro-Electric Power Scheme, rainmaking, and the night sky), Australian sport, house interiors, car manufacturing, Australian music and art, and Japanese-Australian relations.Colour slide in a mount. Slide, Government House Christmas Party, 1960s
Colour slide of a crowd at Government House during a Legacy Christmas party in the 1960s. Melbourne Legacy held an annual Christmas Party for Junior Legatees and Widows at Government House for many years. Junior Legatees were given gifts. The exact date is not known but there are 15 slides in the same white mount which appear to be the same event (02913 - 02924). Governor Delacombe is in some the photos so they are post 1963 when he became Governor. Was with many other slides taken in the 1950s and 1960s. The slides have been photographed to make digital images and moved to archive quality sleeves. Colour slide of food at a function at Legacy House in 1962. The slide shows an elaborate fish dish and the food laid out in the Level 2 function room. It shows that in the 1960s the walls were painted blue and pink. Was a social function for legatees and their wives. There are 11 slides that appear to be the same function. One mentions President Lobb so it was 1962. Was with many other slides taken in the 1950s and 1960s. The slides have been photographed to make digital images and moved to archive quality sleeves.
