The official opening was in 1926 by Brigadier General C.H. Brand. The Memorial Hall was sold to Council in 1955. In 1958 Vivian Bullwinkle unveiled the plaque of the new premises. In 1988 these premises were updated and opened by Sir Edward Dunlop. A gaming licence was acquired in 1992.
