Set of three coat buttons: 1 - Small Prahran and Malvern Tramways Trust - PMTT - made by Stokes and Sons Melbourne - approx. 20mm dia. The badge backing piece is brass. 2 - Large PMTT - heavily worn - made by Stokes and Sons Melbourne - approx. 26mm dia - missing lug. 3 - MMTB button or Badge - damaged - made by Buttons of Birmingham UK - approx. 25mm dia. Each button has a backing piece on rear with a lug (except for 2) for sewing onto a jacket and have name of manufacturer stamped on rear part. Demonstrates uniform cap manufacture for a SEC Inspector, shows the "braid" worn by inspectors and has a strong association with Theo Dunstan.SEC Inspectors/Conductors cap - black cloth exterior, grey cotton interior lining, brown leather internal hat band, black cotton hat band with gold trimmings, on exterior with a plastic band at the front half of the cap terminating in two small SEC gold coloured metal buttons on either side, black plastic peak. Fitted with and "Inspector" cap badge - brass, has been polished with Brasso remains on interior of letters. Received from donor as three individual items - reassembled. A souvenir handkerchief from The Log Cabin in Marysville in Victoria.A souvenir handkerchief from The Log Cabin in Marysville in Victoria. The Log Cabin was built by Thomas Henry Branchflower who had arrived from England late in 1921. It was built for Gwendoline Pitman after the death of her father Clarence Pitman and the disappearance of her sister Olive in July 1926.
