"Here is a group of Intermediate Girls being tutored in Speech training by Miss Winifred Williams. Though not spectacular Speech Training is an important part of class work." Miss Williams also wrote a piece in a newsletter about the benefits of speech training. Melbourne Legacy ran many classes for boys and girls in their care. Used by T.R.G. (Thomas) Williams, Main Street Ringwood, to advertise his photographic and picture framing business. No date evident however advertisement includes comment that studio is "equipped with modern electric light" which arrived in Ringwood in 1915. Main Street address includes "Rear of P.S. Eva Hardware Store", however a 1928 photograph of the premises advertises T.R.G. Williams as Ironmonger. Thomas Williams served on Ringwood Council from 1939 to 1945, including period as Mayor from 1941 to 1943.Buff coloured cardboard with black printing advertising a photographer and picture framer. -

A retirement certificate from the office of the President of Tatura Mechanics Institute and Free Library.Red Leather folder with gold pattern on back and front. Inside left border of red with gold pattern and fawn coloured padded section on which is stuck and photograph of Francis Williams and a tag (see below) The right side has same red and gold border with a fawn coloured cardboard frame with flowers on it. An oval shape has been cut out and a certificate of retirement from Tatura Mechanics Institute placed inside. The certificate is very ornately printed in gold, red and blue. This was kept by George's daughter Marjorie Williams, and donated to the Society by herself and granddaughter Valerie Morris. PMH&PS applied for information on the MM citation, which is item 813.02. Refer to this for George's records, plus a summary of his history. During storage one medal came loose and stuck to a photograph. In March 2011 the items were re-framed, with window mounting so they wouldn't come loose again.Mounted under glass, the WWI photograph of Private George Williams MM, flanked by his war medals.
