'' If the 'old boys' of the Victoria Hill area had been about yesterday when a party of school children inspected the old mining district, it is likely they would have sent off 'new chum' gold with the visitors. Back in the days when mining was active, most of the boys carried their bottle of 'new chum' gold - mundic made to sparkle with a few drops of vinegar.
