Black leather-bound bible. Simple embossed line border on covers and 7 lines on spine. "HOLY BIBLE" on spine in gold, with gold edging on pages. Decorative gold embossed vine-leaf pattern on inside of covers at edges.

Conservation work of sills - see notes in object file.Two windows, composed of three panels each, arranged vertically. The top and bottom panels of each window are composed of six square glass sections depicting line drawings and figurative depictions in a range of different styles. The centre panels have eight square sections, with similar styles and motifs. A double border of shades of blue in small rectangles surrounds the central sections, which are in shades of yellow, with central rectangular glass in green. Clear glass panels are set on either side of windows.

Commissioned by State Bank to produce 5 copper bas-reliefs for 73 Percy Street, Portland. Spoke with Miss Betty Vivian (Member of the Portland Historical Society) re Portland's history. Commonwealth Bank stored objects in Melbourne (c.1991). Negotiations between Portland Historical Society and Commonwealth Bank of Australia led to gift of works to People of Portland. The ledge, called a moustache guard, has a half moon-shaped opening to allow the passage of liquids and serves as a guard to keep moustaches dry.
