Physical description

Black and white photo showing a crowd of people on the pier, looking back to shore. A ribbon is positioned across the width of the pier, with another group of people on the shore side of it. Soldiers lined up on the sea-side of ribbon. Pier decked out with bunting. Photo glued on grey board.
