Notebook, green cloth covered, with end papers, five sections ruled sheets sewn fitted with a black cotton tape strap. On side of notebook, in the same cloth, a holder for a short pencil has been provided. On inside end paper, has a sticker of the "The Commercial Notebook", discount table. In pencil is "J.H. Prisk / 516 Drummond / Ballarat" On first pages inside are details of change float, tickets sold, type , returns commencing "Monday 15/12" (1913) through to March 10 (1914), then many pages with monetary calculations, then sketches of tramcar lighting circuits, noes on cabling, roses, switches, current densities, and conduits lengths etc. Last page in notebook has notes re times of cards ex Sheds and Sebastopol and working hours on various runs. Type of coat worn by SEC tram crews in Ballarat from the mid 1930s through to 1971. Demonstrates the SEC Uniform in 1921. Yields information about tramway accidents in Drummond St Ballarat, during the SEC era and in particular one in 1954 when a tram was in a collision with a wool truck. Significance is reduced by the quality of the photocopy but gives the source details.Series of three photocopies of a photographs and article that appeared in The Courier, Ballarat newspaper of 17/4/1954 when tram No. 37 collided with a wool truck at corner of Drummond Sth and South Streets the previous day. Has a strong association with the uniforms and caps of the SEC tramway crews, yields information about their manufacture.Plastic strip, or chin strap cut from a premanufactured strip, with slots at either end, a buckle, a loop and two small rivets to be used as a cap band for the SEC tramway crew caps. The slits at either end were fitted over the cap buttons (See Reg Item 4452) Possibly made by the Australian Government clothing factory.
